Neil Balfour: Musician

  • Branding
  • July 2009
  • neilbalfour.com

When Neil Balfour graduated from Leeds College of Music, he wanted an inspired website to showcase his abilities as a hub for all of his work and skills.

Neil's website was built with a strict brief. He wanted a quirky and eye-catching website that stood out from everything else. Despite the limitations of web standards at the time, Neil got what he was looking for. The arty and sparse yet highly functional design matched Neil's musical personality and has stood the test of time, using image replacement techniques long before web fonts and CSS sprites to achieve border-radius and box-shadow techniques that are thankfully now a standard in CSS3.
